Face-to-face surgeries to resume from Saturday 9th October

Starting from Saturday 9th October, we will now be holding a drop-in surgery on the second Saturday of every month (except August) at the Barham Village Residents’ Association (BVRA) community centre, 737 Harrow Road (next to Tesco Express), Sudbury, HA0 2LL.

During the Covid 19 pandemic, we switched to running online surgeries and WhatsApp groups to keep the conversation going with residents during the difficult months of the lockdown. Now that the Covid rules have changed, we’re pleased to say that we’ll be resuming one of our monthly face-to-face surgeries. We will review the need to resume our other two surgeries later in the year.

We have written a letter to all residents in Sudbury confirming our new surgery arrangements – please see below. The first surgery will be this coming Saturday. We look forward to meeting as many of you as possible, but please don’t feel the need to attend if you’re still worried about meeting people during the pandemic: we’re always happy to speak on the phone, online, on WhatsApp or by text instead.

Resuming face to face surgeries – a message from your local Sudbury Councillors

Dear Neighbour,

We do hope you are keeping well during these challenging times. As your local Sudbury Councillors, we wanted to write to you to let you know we’ll be resuming face to face surgeries from Saturday 9th October.

So long as Covid rules allow, we will now be holding a drop-in surgery on the second Saturday of every month (except August), from 10am to 1pm at the Barham Village Residents’ Association (BVRA), 737 Harrow Road, Sudbury, HA0 2LL.

There is no need to book appointments – you’re welcome to show up and we will see you on a first-come, first-served basis. However if you can, please do let us know that you plan to attend just so we have an idea of numbers.

Covid 19 has not gone away, so please comply with BVRA’s Covid safety rules and make every effort to maintain social distancing and wear a mask. Due to changes in lockdown rules we may have to cancel our surgeries at short notice, so please check the Council’s website for updates and reach out to us directly if you’re unsure: https://www.brent.gov.uk/your-council/elected-representatives/.

Finally, please don’t feel you have to go to a surgery to discuss any issues – especially if you are anxious about meeting people during the pandemic. Weare always a quick email, WhatsApp message or phone call away – just call or message us on the details below if you ever have any problems.

We look forward to speaking with you soon.

Best wishes
